What They Didn’t Tell You about Flattening the Curve (Or Covid Forever)

Wonder why you’re still wearing a mask, keeping your social distance, and can’t have a sit-down meal in your favorite restaurant? Remember any other flu or cold going around in the past lasting one tenth this long? You can thank your government health care heroes, it’s all due to their official policy. Remember that whole “flatten the curve” bit at the start of this covid business? Here’s how it works in handy, visual, interactive form.

Mouseover art to “flatten the curve”

Perhaps they forgot to tell you flattening a curve makes it longer. Kinda like rolling out a ball of dough, the flatter it gets, the wider it gets.

Perhaps they also forgot to tell you flattening a curve delays (negates?) the onset of group immunity. Or did they mention group immunity at all? That occurs when about 80 percent of the population has come in contact with a bug and developed resistance. At which point the virus has difficulty finding new hosts and fades away. That’s how God and Nature does it, and has for every other cold (covid) and flu for the last million years or so. All gone in a month or so, except for covid 19 which goes on and on.

Our fearless leaders think they know better than God and Nature, and so that’s why you’re still wearing a strap-on hankie, keeping your antisocial distance, et cetera. Now then, if you delay group immunity long enough people start losing their resistance and the cycle starts all over again. Which would mean our fearless leaders may have created a perpetual virus. Welcome to the braver newer world. Great job, government health care heroes.

Resign yourself to the new Media/Medico/State “mostly peaceful” tyranny. Get accustomed to wearing the modern medical burka because the Covid Craze is being cranked up a notch for a next wave of panicdemic. Yep, prepare to “shelter in place” and learn to love being Eloi. And you thought “duck and cover” was crazy.
